Free QR Code Generator

Make a QR code for a website link, your Wi-Fi password, a contact card, an email, a phone number or a text message. Pick colours, add your logo and download a print-ready PNG or SVG. Codes are static, so they work forever with no account and no tracking.

1. What should the QR code open?

2. Style it

Module style
Error correction
Logo in the middle (optional)

A logo covers part of the code, so error correction is set to H (30%) automatically.

3. Download

Always test-scan with your phone before printing.

How to use

  1. Choose what the code should do: Link, Text, Wi-Fi, Contact, Email, Phone or SMS.
  2. Fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Optionally change the colours, module style or size, or add a logo in the middle.
  4. Press Download PNG for screens and documents, or Download SVG for print and design tools.
  5. Scan the code with your phone camera to check it before you print or share it.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static QR codes: the link or text is stored inside the code itself, not on our server, so the code keeps working forever and nobody can switch it off.

Is the QR code generator really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no scan limit and no paid plan. You can use the codes for personal and commercial projects.

How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi?

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password exactly as they are, and pick the security type (usually WPA). When guests scan the code, their phone offers to join the network without typing the password.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is best for websites, documents and social media. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, so it is the better choice for printing on flyers, posters, packaging or signs.

Can I add my logo to the QR code?

Yes. Upload an image and it is placed in the middle of the code. Error correction switches to the highest level (H) automatically, so the code still scans even though the logo covers part of it.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Most problems come from low contrast, a light code on a dark background, a quiet zone that is too small, or printing it too small. Keep the code dark on a light background, leave a margin around it and print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide.

Is my data private?

Yes. The QR code is generated in your browser. Your links, Wi-Fi passwords and contact details are never sent to a server.

What can a QR code hold?

A QR code is a square barcode that phone cameras can read in a second. It can store a web address, plain text, Wi-Fi login details, a contact card (vCard), a ready-to-send email or SMS, or a phone number to call. This generator builds the right format for each type, so phones know what to do when the code is scanned.

Tips for QR codes that always scan

  • Use a dark code on a light background with strong contrast.
  • Keep the quiet zone (the empty border) at least 4 modules wide on printed material.
  • Shorter content gives a simpler code that scans from further away, so prefer short links.
  • Use error correction M for everyday codes and H when you add a logo or the code may get scratched.
